Our vision remains clear: to be a dynamic and celebrated masterpiece of innovative architecture, inspiring and attracting visitorswith the power of design in harmonywithnature. In terms of programs and operations, aswell as capital projects and organizational sustainability, 2019marked a year of positive change and transfor- mation, paving theway for continued growth aswe move forward. We are proud to announce thatwe welcomed a record-highnumber of visitors from near and far to experience the fully restored estate through tour and educational programs, retail offer- ings and community events. According toWright’s original vision, theMartin House gardens have been re-established, signal- ing the final phase of our historic twenty-five year restoration effort. The landscape epitomizes the intertwined design relationship between architec- ture and landscape, and represents an important contributing feature to the significance of the site. The organic architecture in combinationwith the living elements provide a uniquemarketing op- portunity for theMartinHouse as an architectural destination, which continues to garner national and international attention. FrankLloydWright once said, “I knowthe price of success: dedication, hardwork, and anunremitting devotion to the things youwant to see happen.” Aswework toward our future goals, evenwith the unique challenges facing all of us thus far in2020, we knowtheMartinHousewill continue to be a welcoming, informed and diverse community asset.
