n TheMartinHousewas featuredprominently in the February2017 issueof Architectural Record , the leading sourceof news for thearchitectureand interior designcommunity. n Returnof sevenoriginal Wright-designed “light screens” throughahistoric transfer agreement reached between theUniversityofVictoria’sLegacyArtGaller- ies (BritishColumbia, CA) and theMartinHouse. In addition,we receivedanart glass laylight fromaMartin Housepier cluster as agift fromananonymousdonor. HIGHLIGHTS n Record-breakingattendancebywelcoming 40,000 guests to theMartinHousecampus. Visitors included designer andeducatorNaderTehrani, PBSpresident PaulaKerger, ConsulGeneral ofFrance inNewYork Anne-ClaireLegendreandactor and fashiondesigner ChloeSevigny. n Completionof thewidely-anticipated wisteria- patterned fireplacemosaic —anelegant glass-tiled surround, a signatureelement ofWright’s total design concept, and thecenterpieceof thehome. n Awardeda $5million grant fromNewYorkState/ EmpireStateDevelopment tocomplete restorationof theBartonHouseandWright-designed landscape. n Hosteda campaign celebration inMayhonoring themany supporters and friendsof theproject,with a special tribute toStanLipsey, BobWilmers andBob Kresse for theirunparalleledpassionanddedication. Speakers includedLieutenantGovernorKathyHochul, CountyExecutiveMarkPoloncarz, ElisabethWilmers andMartinHouse leadership. n Participated in the Wright SitesWorkingGroup fosteredbyTheJohnR. OisheiFoundation to identifyopportunities toworkmorecloselywith Graycliff.
